Audi Q7 SUV Review

Everything about the Audi Q7 SUV is big. Although the fuel consumption has come into realistic bounds by replacing the V8 monster engine of the previous models. What the size really gives the driver is internal space and cargo room, although less than its closest competitors. Audi say the Q7 petrol version will do 26.4 mpg but it is hard to believe given the size of the 4X4. The Audi Q7 SUV may weigh in at an incredible 2.5 tonnes but it does go very fast when asked to. This is another reason to be sceptical of the fuel figure, but the handling is definitely much more poised and trustworthy than that of many smaller cars. The Q7s 8 speed gearbox is a phenomenon. The diesel engines are much more economical. This Audi Q7 SUV should be seen more as a rival to other big beasts like the Mercedes S class or jaguar XJ. The Audi Q7 SUV is a rapid, rock solid and really big vehicle bristling with high tech' gadgetry. It is not a car for the shy, single or modest motorist. The internal space is ample for up to seven passengers and a very sociable outgoing owner.
All of the Audi Q7 SUV petrol engines are 3.0 litre TFSI with eight speed 'triptronic' transmission. The diesel versions are either 3.0 or 4.2 TDI and the same transmission. Designer stylish alloy wheels are standard. Fuel consumption is reported as reasonable across the range, with a high of 39.2 combined mpg figure on the 3.0 TDI down to 26.4 on the 3.0 petrol version. Each wheel has adaptively controlled damping and a choice of 4 settings that can be chosen from the MMI panel. Of course the quattro all wheel drive is there and should never be taken for granted. The ESP adapts the ride to road conditions and even has a trailer stabiliser and roof rack, centre of balance adjustment function. Rear auditory parking signals bring this big car down to size because of the Audi parking system plus. A great feature is the service key that saves individual car settings as well as service data. Other elements of the standard technology pack are a DVD sat' nav', MMI radio +, DSP sound, electronic tailgate, colour driver information system and voice dialogue. A 'Bluetooth' interface in the steering wheel enables you to communicate while your phone is in your pocket. Prices range from £42,590 to £60,155. A lot of money for a lot of car.
Not all of Audis' luxury market vehicles have been on a par with their competitors but the Audi Q7 SUV is a strong entrant in the luxury diesel super size SUV niche. More sport than utility this is a road not an off road car. More to be seen than worked. Though the appearance of the Audi Q7 SUV design is by no means universally loved. It comes with high tech' features as standard inclusions. The Audi Q7 SUV is eye-catching in a big butch way. Yet while it is meant to seat 7 comfortably the sloping roof line makes row three suitable for small adults or children only.

Love the car.
I just got my new Audi Q7! After having 3 weeks delayed in the delivery & the car being uncovered on the transport from New Jersey - Dallas. My Patience really was firmly test especially when the shipping company asked me for COD (and it was supposed to be fully paid) which pissed me off. On top of that, the car was completely head to toe in limestone & mud & the trucker had the audacity to deliver the car to me in that state! After everything done & washing the vehicle, what a beautiful car it is & the accuracy of the voice navigation makes it all worth it! The navigation can at times be a little annoying at first but you adjust to it. The steering smoothness & the sound proof feel of the car with the on road steady handling is magnificent. Especially with the connection cord provided by Audi to tune into your iPod feels great! The bluetooth for the phone connectivity is an awesome & clear feature (better than Lexus RX 400h - where the person on the phone can tell you are on the handsfree). None the less a great car, spacious, comfortable & very smooth ride! I hope you enjoy it, I know I am!
We traded my Q7 for BMW x5. My q7 pumped water from the clogged a/c and plenum back into the car. This happened twice. My car was always parked in garage, yet leaves clogged these drains. When we complained to Audi Care of north America they blamed and they said it was "external cause". How come Audi designed premium car in such a way to allow external things to block drains inside? I am not the only one who had problem with this. Go to Audi forums and you will see this happened to other Audi cars. Otherwise it is a nice car. It was not reliable so we had to sell it and take a loss.
I have the 2010 TDI. The car does everything I need it to do (carpools, towing, and daily errands) and is still stylish and fun to drive. Pros: avg mpg 22.4 (18 in town/27 hwy, easy to use navigation, drive handling. Cons: 2010 access to ipod thru glove compartment, diesel gas stations don't always have pay at the pump, mmi controls next to drink holder. All in all, my favorite car. 40K miles and not one issue;) Drives like new.
I have 2011 Q7 s-line ,I like it they make verry good suv
