ProsTwo fantastic engines to choose from with plenty of acceleration power and impressive fuel-economy.

ProsRated “Good” in roof, side and frontal-impact crash tests.

 ProsSporty yet sophisticated exterior styling.

ProsLeads the class in cargo space.

 ProsHigh-quality materials are used throughout.

 ProsOutstanding technology features.

ProsLong list of safety features standard, plus optional ones like rear parking sensors, lane departure warning system, parking cameras and BMW Assist.

ProsPlenty of leg and head room for all passengers.

 ProsSteering is responsive.

ProsNo body roll present around corners.

ConsHigh MSRP will be out of most budgets.

ConsTowing capacity is a maximum of 3,000 pounds. While this certainly is not awful, some consumers will need more.

ConsNo cloth seats are available, which will deter some customers.

ConsGauges and clusters can be pretty overwhelming, if you have never driven a BMW before.

ConsThe iDrive interface is challenging to operate, and takes a little getting used to.

ConsBMW Assist is an added option. One would think that BMW would at least include a subscription for a few months to a year to compete with OnStar.

ConsHeated seats are not standard and need to be added as part of a package. This is a feature you would expect to be included in a luxury crossover.
