Since the 2013 Buick Encore is a new vehicle, there are not many cons to speak of.

Cons There have been no crash or braking test results released as of yet and fuel-economy is unknown, but it is suggested that it will return around 30 mpg on the highway, which is quite good.

Cons The main complaint is going to be with the engine. Some just will not feel confident purchasing a crossover, sub-compact or not, with such little power.
