Cadillac SRX SUV Review

When it debuted two years ago, the Cadillac SRX SUV somewhat missed its mark, a competent vehicle but far from leading its class. The 2012 Cadillac SRX SUV has made great strides since then as an appealing compact luxury crossover with styling that is stunning and the trademark of Cadillac. The interior is equally attractive and comfortable and the vehicle offers a quiet and composed ride.
There are four trim levels for the Cadillac SRX SUV. The base model features automatic headlights, remote engine start, 18-inch alloy wheels, climate control with two zones, premium leatherette vinyl upholstery, cruise control, a driver seat powered eight ways a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel and an audio system with eight Bose speakers, a CD player, satellite radio and interfaces for a USB port and the iPod. The Luxury model adds leather upholstery, front seats and steering wheel that are heated, parking sensors for the front and rear, automatic wipers, a cargo management system, and an optional ten-speaker audio system with Bose surround-sound speakers, digital music storage and the USB port and iPod interface. Found on the Performance Cadillac SRX SUV model are a sports-tuned suspension, 20-inch alloy wheels, upgraded steering, the Bose audio system with surround sound and adaptive xenon headlights. The top-of-the-line Premium model adds climate control with three zones, front seats that are ventilated and heated and audio controls for the rear seats. All but the base can be equipped with a rear-seat DVD entertainment system.
The engine in the Cadillac SRX SUV is a 3.6 liter V6 that can produce 308 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. The only transmission offered is a six-speed automatic with front-wheel drive as standard; all-wheel drive can purchased as an option. Fuel economy for the Cadillac SRX SUV with front-wheel drive is rated at 17 mpg in the city, 24 mpg on the highway and 19 mpg combined while the all-wheel version is rated at 16 mpg in the city, 23 mpg on the highway and 18 mpg combined. The Cadillac SRX SUV with front-wheel drive was able to go from zero to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds.
The styling and quality of the interior design of the Cadillac SRX SUV is one of its greatest selling points. A striking design and high quality materials make it not only attractive to look at but comfortable to sit in. There is a plethora of technology that not only enhances the navigation system but enables the video in the rear seat to handle two program sources at the same time. Raising the power liftgate provides 30 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 61 cubic feet of cargo space when the rear seats are folded down.
Driving the Cadillac SRX SUV is a pleasurable experience with handling better than expected from a vehicle of its size due to a sports-tuned suspension, which also makes for a more comfortable and plusher ride on even the most severe of pavements. Steering is quick and tight with corners easy to handle and a seamless transmission contributes to swift passing as well as good acceleration on those vast highway roads.

Bought 2010 srx and delighted with car. Saved 10k instead of voting new. Use as family car and tow behind motor home when we travel in summer. Full sun roof really opens up back seat and with ambient lighting like being in a mini limo. Great job caddy. Other thing about car stands out from the heard.
