Chrysler Pacifica SUV Review

The Chrysler Pacifica was an interesting blend of vehicle, what Chrysler called the "sports tourer". It combined the attributes of a wagon, minivan and sports utility vehicle with a handling that outperformed most typical people-movers and the ability to seat six comfortably with a folding third row that provides the cargo space of more like that of an SUV. It provided a stylish design with great attention to detail and was discontinued in 2009.
The Chrysler Pacifica was available in three trim levels: the Base LX, the Touring and the Limited. Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is an option available for all models. The base LX model of the Chrysler Pacifica provides air-conditioning with two zones, 17-inch steel alloy wheels, keyless entry, ten-way power front seats, full power accessories, two rows of seats for five passengers and a stereo system with AM/FM radio and CD player. The Touring model adds three rows of seats for six passengers, fog lamps, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, automatic temperature control, and an upgraded audio system with satellite radio.
The Limited version of the Chrysler Pacifica added a power lift gate, 19-inch chromed aluminum wheels, rear-parking assist, leather upholstery, front and second row seats that are heated, memory for the driver seat, wood trim and an audio system with eight speakers, a six-disc CD/DVD changer that could play MP3 files and a variety of DVD formats. Other options available for all models included an entertainment system with a video screen in the rear, a premium surround sound system, a navigation system with back-up camera, xenon headlights and Bluetooth technology.
The engine of the Chrysler Pacifica for the Base LX model is 3.8 liter V6 that can produce 200 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque. It comes with an automatic transmission. All-wheel drive models, including the LX, Touring and Limited, have a 4.0 liter V6 that can produce 235 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. These models have a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control.
Fuel economy for the Chrysler Pacifica is the same regardless of engine type and drivetrain and was rated at 14-15 mpg in the city and 22-23 mpg on the highway.
The interior of the Chrysler Pacifica was relatively upscale with a well-appointed design. The base model LX had two rows of seats and could hold five passengers while the Touring and Limited models had bucket seats in the second row and a third row that expanded the seating accommodation to six. The first two rows of seats provided ample space for the passengers while the third row was somewhat cramped and best suited for small children. Ergonomics were well thought out with controls that were easy to locate on the seats and door with rear controls for ventilation and audio functions. The amount of cargo space depended on the model, with the Base LX providing 92 cubic feet and the Touring and Limited models providing 80 cubic feet.
The handling of the Chrysler Pacifica was more like that of a car than a minivan or truck-based SUV. Steering is solid and precise and bumps were felt less with the larger V6 engine than with the smaller one. It also had better acceleration and pickup and made the Chrysler Pacifica an excellent vehicle for transporting the family around town or on vacation.

I liked this page very much. I own an 04 #!Pacifica and am seriously thinking aboutcanew 1. Very good information for me.
We have had our Chrysler Pacifica since 2004 - purchased as used. We have really enjoyed it. It has over 130,000 miles and I guess we have put it to the test. We are currently doing work on it - timing gears, water pump, and checking it out - prolonging life maintenance! We really do not know if we are going to purchase another vehicle as we really like this one as there is no longer a Pacifica to buy. However, we must consider, it will not last forever. As I read the reviews, I honestly say we have not had any of the problems "yet" My husband is very good in regular care for his vehicle which I am convenced prolongs the wear. We continue to get 20 - 23 miles per gallon. It looks great except for headlights are very cloudy and a few niches from parking lots. We do like our Pacifica.
I have had 2 Pacific`s in the year 2010 and 2011, I am living in Russia and had imported the car from Belarusia, the car came there from Canada. Both were 2006 models purchased as used for a good price, enjoyed the car very well both the cars were both all wheel drive Touring fully loaded only the navigation was not there, and any ways it does not work outside USA and Canada, this is what I was told by the dealer in Moscow. The car was very comfortable, I liked the shape and the drive was wonderful and the safety and handling, she is very heavy on fuel, not like the japanese econonical. It`s a pity that we don`t get the new models the car has got a good demand in Russia, as long as she is not very expensive. I would like to request the Daimler Chryler Benz manufacturers to manufacture this car, only if they would decrease there sale price and bring it till 28000 to 32000 US Dollars, then they squeez in the market, the lift hood could be made of plastic or fibre glass, the rear portion could be made a bit sporty like the Infinity FX-35.I am sorry for the suggestions that I am mentioning, I am sure your specialist`s must have mentioned you the same,it`s just that I am so fond oof this car and want to purchase a new model or even a used 2009 or 2010 model will do.As according to the used market in Russia- Moscow the Pacific model 2007 date of Manufacture 2006 such a car will be around 23000 to 37000 U.S Dollars can you belive it, with odemeter nothing below hundred thousand kilometers, and the ones that show below are tampered. It all depends on the accessories of the car.
I just bought a 2004 model of Chrysler pacifica only to learn that the car is no longer being manufactured. i also bought the car at a price a bit more than i would have, had i known about the car earlier and import it myself. Despite this, no regret, the car is a beauty, a classic, with a message of all round comfort. i am presently having a shock problem and would have enjoyed it more if i can fix the shock. I can now understand why the parts are expensive. A review of the car by Daimler Chryler Benz is welcomed but the car should retain its spacious interior and complete automation
I have a 2004 pacifica ,very pleased with it,to bad the last one was build in 2008 sure would get another one .
