Ford Escape SUV Review

The 2012 Ford Escape SUV offers some nice features and has been upgraded into the technological race. Compared to other compact crossovers, there are many ways to outshine the Ford Escape SUV . For practical purposes and performance, there are choices that will fill the expectations better. Yet, for the high tech gadgets and the innovative features like the automated parking function this is a great value.
The Ford Escape SUV is expected to improve for the 2013 model year. One of the reasons for the lower performance is the undercarriage. It needs to be overhauled, which is the plan for the 2013 release. Customers who are loyal to the Ford Escape SUV are still very happy with it, and even with upcoming changes in the works, the 2012 model is still a top seller in the compact crossover category.
Many find that this is due to the interesting and fun technology that the 2012 Ford Escape SUV boasts. Sync, which is an interface design that allows for complete voice controlled actions for the audio system, is definitely among the favorite high tech equipment. The Autopark feature is one that still has many people shaking their heads in wonder, as this is the easy to use automatic parallel parking function. The components go so far as to identify what is and is not actually a reasonable parallel parking spot while you are still on the move. Anyone who has struggled with getting into a tight space will appreciate this function.
The three trim levels that the Ford Escape SUV is available in for 2012 comes with some rather standard gear, like 16 inch alloy wheels. Drum brakes manage the rear wheels, which can be problematic under certain circumstances. The power accessories, cruise control, and air conditioning are standard equipment. You will also find the integrated blind spot mirror is standard and especially helpful. MyKey parents controls, four speakers, sound system, and CD player. Bluetooth is not standard, despite the fact that you will find this on many of the standard features of other vehicles.
The 2012 Ford Escape comes in either front wheel drive or all wheel drive. The standard engine is 171 horses strong and fits in a 2.5 liter four cylinder housing. This engine size permits either the automatic transmission, which is 6 speed, or the manual transmission, which is 5 speed. In order to get the towing capacity from the Escape, the vehicle must be upgraded to the V6, which is only available as an automatic transmission. The 3500 pound towing capacity can be considered on the lower end of average for this size and class of vehicle.
The Ford Escape SUV offers 21 highway miles per gallon and 28 city miles per gallon with the front wheel drive option. The basic safety features like antilock brakes, traction control, and stability control come standard. The 29 cubic feet of cargo space requires a rather taxing charade of flipping, removing, and carrying the rear seat as it doesn't offer the simple fold down system. While the Escape has some excellent features, it is lacking in others. For the $25,000 it costs to purchase the vehicle, there could be a few improvements to make it truly valuable.
