The 2018 Ford Escape is one of the most popular choices among sport utility vehicle buyers.
Four trims in the selection that allow buyers to choose from a variety of exterior, interior, tech, safety and comfort elements.
Three engine options to choose from.
A lot of major updates compared to the 2017 model year. Among the key changes in the 2018 models are the introduction of the SEL trim as well as revision of the availability of some safety and comfort features starting from the SE and up. Moreover, the 2.0-liter power unit is now exclusive to the Titanium trim. The 2017 model year just had its styling updates so these were merely carried over to the 2018 model.
Comfortable riding experience.
A lot of easy-to-understand tech and safety features.
Decent performance with fast acceleration for a crossover in its top trim.
Price goes up significantly in between trims. We highly recommend the new SEL trim of the range as it gives you a taste of some of the luxuries found in the Titanium trim without jacking up the price too much.
Fuel consumption is high for a crossover in the 2.0-liter engine segment despite its high output. During our test drive at highway speed of 75 mph, the results came at 26 mpg, which lower than its EPA rating.
