Truthfully, I didn't know what to expect when I first test drove the Escape. I really thought I needed a V6 in a crossover, but I ended up with the 2.0-liter, and I am quite impressed. The vehicle is light, and this engine is rather spirited, so I never feel nervous passing or merging onto the highway. Plus, I have to say that with so much snow this winter I have really appreciated this vehicle, as it holds its composure in slippery conditions.
