GMC Yukon XL Denali 2WD SUV Review

The 2011 GMC Yukon XL Denali 2WD is one of the models available in the Yukon line. As one of the largest full size SUVs on the roadways, the GMC Yukon XL Denali 2WD seats up to nine people comfortably. With interior space that is well designed, the comfort of the passengers has not taken away from the number of them. Often when SUV designers are creating a line they offer several different variations which then create a need for the buyer to choose between passenger comfort and fitting everyone in. This is one of the few SUVs that can do both.

This is because the GMC Yukon XL Denali 2WD is about 18 feet long. The length and the width come together to create an interior cavern that can be filled with people, things, or both. Road trips will never be the same. Despite its length (and it's nearly 3 tons of weight) the smooth ride leaves your passengers in even greater comfort. While it's not the most nimble vehicle on the road it is one of the few that offers so much space while maintaining an excellent standard of power train quality and ride performance.

There are a few drawbacks to the GMC Yukon XL Denali 2WD, with perhaps the greatest being the lack of fuel efficiency. With only 15 city miles to each gallon or 19 highway miles to each gallon it's hard to overlook the possibility that there may be SUVs with the same standards of quality without the same standards for the gas pumping station.

Another basic drawback to the GMC Yukon XL Denali 2WD is the problematic third row seat. In order to really open up the cargo area one has to remove the last row of seats. This is a lot easier said than done. It's been jokingly recommended that one pumps iron for the week before the seats need to come out. Yet with their heavy design and the inability to fold them flat many new owners tend to just skip this step and live with less cargo area.

The GMC Yukon XL Denali 2WD is nearly identical in many ways when compared to the Chevy Tahoe. The biggest difference between the two vehicles is the 8400 pounds of potential towing capacity that is offered by the Yukon Denali. A few styling adjustments and the ultimate end design gives buyers two competitive options. When compared to some of the crossover SUVs on the market, the buyer should be urged to look at their intentions. The GMC Yukon XL Denali 2WD is a great hauling, towing, and working vehicle. Concerns about fuel costs can make other crossovers a more appealing choice if it's going to be used mostly for making sure the kids get back and forth to their activities. The value of the Denali is really based on what you are planning on doing with it and when.

The large size of the GMC Yukon XL Denali 2WD does not have to impede the driver when some of the optional equipment is purchased as well. Simple things like the OnStar updated system, parking sensors, review camera, pedals that are adjusted with simply a touch of a button, and remote start.
