Like the rest of the line, there is only one engine available for GMC Acadia Denali SUV. That being said, it is an engine that the population has grown to respect, appreciate and rely on. Acadia Denali gets the trustworthy 3.6-liter V6 that is mated to a six-speed automatic. It provides 288 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, and can tow 5,200 pounds, which is more than what most people need. Despite its sturdy reputation and great acceleration, the vehicle has a few flaws. The first is that it has a 40.4-foot turning circle. This is huge, and it means that maneuvering and parking in tight spaces is not going to be all that easy. In fact, you will probably find yourself stuck with those parking spaces at the end of the row or back of the parking lot that no one wants. Second, fuel economy is less than desirable, returning only 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. One thing Acadia Denali does have going for it is the ride quality it provides. A four-wheel independent suspension delivers a smooth ride and the vehicle is confident, providing secure handling. Don’t expect steering to be crisp though; it is quite cumbersome.

Acadia Denali is known for being a safe vehicle, and the 2013 received top safety scores in roof, front and side-impact protection by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Acadia Denali has a distinct appearance to leave a lasting impression. A confident stance is complemented by bold lines, a new custom Denali grille, glass-to-rear quarter panel, body colored fascia and a new hood. For an abundance of finishing touches, GMC gives the SUV satin chrome accents, high-intensity discharge xenon headlamps, dual Skyscape sunroof and 20-nch machined aluminum wheels that are standard.
Seating for seven or eight passengers is granted in comfort and style. The accommodating space of Acadia is taken to all new level with the Denali trim through luxurious appointments and authentic materials. First and second row passengers enjoy an abundance of room, but third row is better suited for children. The third row is easily stowed, so you can make use of cargo space with ease. Acadia Denali has plenty of thoughtful features throughout, including a leather-wrapped steering wheel that is trimmed in mahogany, illuminated front sill plates, real aluminum trim and Denali-specific Cocoa Dune perforated leather.
With all three rows in place, you are able to make full time use of 24 cubic feet. When both the second and third row is folded flat, you get a massive 116 cubes! Even if you just fold the third seat, there are 70 cubes behind the second row.
