There are four trim levels for the 2012 GMC Yukon XL SUV including the SLE 1500, SLT 1500, SLE 2500 and SLT 2500. Each trim lists different sets of features that set one apart from the rest. The SLE 1500 is considered as the most advanced and most spacious and this trim offers buyers with excellent cargo capability, thanks to the addition of the first, second and third row seats. These seats are paired and complemented by 3 months free use of XM radio, USB ports and heated side mirrors. The SLT 1500 offers room for cargo and passengers. On the interior, passengers will find different technological features and innovations like Bluetooth, provision for seating for eight passengers and leather appointed seats. The ride quality is extremely smooth and subtle, with the use of the active fuel management system and coil over shock front suspension. The SLE 2500 on the other hand is the go-to trims if the requirement is for heavy duty works and applications like towing and hauling. This trim can accommodate 9600 lbs when towing and also offers excellent cargo space through its first to third row seats. Top features to expect on this trim include USB port, XM radio and heated side mirrors. The SLT 2500 is on top of the heap and leaves nothing to spare. The interior is good enough to seat 8 passengers and is highlighted with leather appointed seats and Bluetooth capability.

The Denali is considered as the top gun of the 2012 GMC Yukon XL SUV pedigree, and includes an iconic grille, blind spot monitoring system, 20-inch alloy wheels, power lift-gate, heated steering wheel, heated second row seats, heated and ventilated front seats, rear view camera, Bose stereo system and navigation system. Some of the other options buyers can facilitate their Yukon with the power-retractable running boards, twin screen rear-seat entertainment system and 20 or 22-inch alloy wheels. When it comes to safety requirements, buyers can count on side curtain airbags, front side airbags, OnStar, anti-lock brakes and stability control. The blind spot alert system is optional on the SLT trim, but comes standard with the Denali. Some of the intriguing features on this trim include third row seats, side and curtain air bags, navigation system, stability control and traction control.
