Over several decades, the Jeep name has come to essentialy represent the sport utility vehicle market. Of course, this could be because off-road vehicles are all they make. It does not matter if you are looking for strog performance, a family hauler or a convertible, Jeep has you covered. Competing in an array of segments, this manufacturer’s lineup for 2013 includes the Patriot, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Compass.
It may be hard to believe that you can get a true off-road vehicle for under $20,000, but that is what the 2013 Jeep Compass has to offer! It is available in three trims, two engines and four-wheel drive comes standard. Compass is a nice looking vehicle. It manages to be both sophisticated and rugged on the outside and unbelievably comfortable inside.
Compass competes against Subaru Forester, Kia Sportage, GMC Terrain and Honda CR-V, but none can compete with the off-road capabilities of a Jeep. Available in Sport, Latitude and Limited trims, this vehicle has something for everyone. A fold flat rear seat opens up 53.6 cubic feet of cargo space while the optional Uconnect™ system features a Garmin® hard drive to store all your music.
Another budgetfriendly Jeep is the Patriot. Starting at $15,995, Jeep makes it easy for nearly anyone to enjoy the versatility of an SUV. An iconic rugged exterior is parterned up nicely by a surprisingly upscale passenger cabin. patriot may compete against Kia Sportage, Chevy Equinox and Honda CR-V, but the interior will make you feell as though you aree picking a much more expensive vehicle.
The sticker price is not the only thing budget-friendly about this vehicle either; a four-wheel drive Patriot returns up to 28 mpg, traveling as far as 408 miles on one single tank. Patriot Sport has plenty of power accessories plus features that are always appreciated like air conditioning, CD player with MP3 playback capabilities, privacy glass and a roof rack. Patrio Latitutde increases the wheel size to 17 inches and adds on a fold-flat front passenger seat and remote engine. Limited gives you a larger four-cylinder engine, leathe ruphosltery and ungraded sound system.
Probably one of the most recognizable vehicles on the road is the Jeep Wrangler. There really is no other vehicle like it. This is an SUV designed to take you over the toughest terrain and through the thickest mud and snow, without hesitation. Wrangler is available in six trims, including Sport, Unlimited Sport, Sahara, Rubicon, Unlimited Sahara and Unlimited Rubicon.
This Ameerian icon offers two and four door options, a variety of convertible tips and a long list of options, packagea and accessories for customization. Everyone should own a Wrangler at least once in their life.
Last but certainly not least is the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a Trailhawk edition is new for this year. Traditional off-road capabilities with a refined cabin that is actually practical for a family, makes it a strong contender in the crossover and midsize SUV segments. Exterior styling is gorgeous, passengers have more than enough room and you can choose from three solid engines that deliver exceptional acceleration and towing capabilities.
