The 2011 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class of vehicles an SUV that is a luxury vehicle of full-size built in the United States. It is the largest of the SUVs that Mercedes manufactures with room for three rows of seats that can accommodate seven people and plenty of cargo space. This vehicle was designed more for its comfort in urban and highway driving than off-road capabilities.
The Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is available in three models: the GL 350 Bluetec which sports a diesel engine and the GL450 and GL550, both gas engine vehicles. The GL 450 has 19-inch wheels while the GL550 has 21-inch wheels. Other features in the vehicles include new head restraints for the seats in the second and third rows that are designed to reduce the potential for whiplash, an inside mirror with integrated compass, front seats that are powered and heated, climate control with two zones, and a third row seat that power folds. A navigation system based on a hard drive is also available. All models include a blind-spot detection system and a restyled bumper is available on the GL 550. A new feature standard on all models is a system called "mbrace" that offers such high technology abilities as using a smartphone to remotely unlock and lock the vehicle.

The GL450 has a 4.6 liter V8 that can produce 339 pound-feet of torque and 335 horsepower while the GL550 has a 5.5 liter V8 that produces 383 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. Both vehicles feature traction control and four-wheel anti-lock brakes with Hill Start and Descent Control and front and rear power disc brakes. All-wheel drive is also standard with a four-wheel electronic tracking system. The transmission is a seven-speed automatic with overdrive and auto-manual shifting.
The Mercedes-Benz GL-Class fuel economy also depends on the model and engine. The rating for the GL450 is 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway while the GL550 delivers 12 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the highway.

Also included are a multimedia system with Bluetooth technology that enables hands-free connectivity in addition to audio, video and navigation functions, the COMAND system by Mercedes that enables the controlling of climate, navigation and entertainment, settings, heated front seats, keyless start and heated and ventilated front seats on the GL550, and an available rear DVD entertainment system. Cargo capacity stands at 83.3 cubic feet.

this car is stupendously beautiful. i rate it a five star car of the century.keep it up.
A piece of Junk, I had less than 30 days and less than 1500 miles,its steering wheel stops working while I was turnning, almost killed me. It is a shame, Mercedes would make such poor quality car !do not buy it if you value your life !
OK if your not a fan of mercedes, you do not need to lie that this standard luxury car could brake down *pluss your steering wheel come on dude not cool.
