The Nissan Murano SUV Crossover comes in four separate trims. Buyers have their choice of the S, SV, SL and LE. All versions come with the 3/5 liter 265 hp V6 engine, a CVT and the choice of front or all wheel drive. The S adds in variable intermittent wipers, 18 inch alloy wheels, tinted rear privacy glass, dual zone climate control, keyless ignition and entry, cloth upholstery, height adjustable driver's seat, reclining 60/40 split folding rear seat, 7 inch monochrome screen, cruise control, tilt and telescoping steering and a six speaker stereo with six disc changer and an auxiliary jack.

The SV trim adds in automatic headlights, foglights, panoramic sunroof, roof rack side rails, power front seats, an upgraded 7 inch color display, rearview camera, leather wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth and an upgraded audio system with satellite radio and iPod interface.

The Nissan Murano SUV Crossover SL trim adds those features and then includes rain sensing wipers, heated mirrors, power liftgate, leather upholstery, heated seats and steering wheel, driver seat memory, auto dimming rearview mirror and a nine speaker Bose system with digital music storage. AN upgrade to the LE trim adds bi-xenon headlights, 20 inch alloy wheels, power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, heated rear seats and wood trim. The SL and LE trims can also add an optional navigation system with voice recognition and a rear DVD entertainment system. There is a Platinum Edition package for the LE that adds 20 inch alloy wheels, sapphire black paint and the navigation system.

Safety is still a top priority with the Nissan Murano SUV Crossover and that is why it comes standard with so many features. Antilock brakes are included as well as stability control, front seat side impact airbags, traction control, active front head restraints and full length side curtain airbags.

The Nissan Murano SUV Crossover is a pleasant change from the typical crossover SUV. It boasts a performance that can outshine much of the competition, a style that is unique and full of personality and upscale features that closely resemble that of the Infiniti FX. Buyers will receive a vehicle that exceeds their expectations for a crossover in this class. Like intended, the best benefits of an SUV are combined with the ease of a sedan. However, in the case of the Murano, they are combined with the ease of a sedan that is considered high performance.

The downside is that the Nissan Murano SUV Crossover does have flaws. The cargo space offered is ample, but it still is outshined by almost every other competitor at this price range. The visibility in the rear is limited as it often is in crossover SUVs. The look resembles the Rogue and there have been a number of naysayers about that style and design. What can't be said is that it is lacking in power or performance. The engine and CVT work together as well as any automatic would.
