Acura MDX

The Acura MDX is billed as a sports utility vehicle that handles like a sports sedan - so does it live up to the hype? Well, manufacturers have been making these type of claims for many years and unfortunately the laws of physics trump marketing every time! Taller, heavier vehicles will never handle as well as a low slung, lightweight sports car. The Acura MDX is one of these new breed of sportier crossovers. The Acura MDX uses a 3.7-liter V6 with 300 HP and 275 lb-ft of torque making it the most powerful engine ever for Acura - the 0-60 time of 8.1 seconds is remarkable for a vehicle this size. The 5 speed automatic transmission with manual control adds to the "sporty" feeling. Fuel economy is about average for the class with 15mpg city/20mpg highway. The Acura MDX can seat 7, however, the rearmost folding seats are best suited for young children on short trips. With a 21 gallon fuel capacity, the Acura MDX has a range of 420 miles.
