Audi Q7

Review

The Audi Q7 3.6 Quattro is an imposing site on the road. One of the largest and heaviest of the newer SUVs, the 7 seat Audi Q7 places its emphasis on comfort, elegance and quality. The interior finishing in particular is sumptuous and imparts an impression of build quality that is rare for vehicles in any class. The 3.6 V6 engine produces 280 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, which sounds ample, however this is a BIG vehicle so the acceleration is less than brisk. That's not to say the Audi Q7 3.6 Quattro feels underpowered as the vehicle feels comfortable in all driving situations. The sheer size and weight also affect the fuel consumption, 13-mpg in the city and 18-mpg on the highway are relatively low figures for these energy conscious times. However, at least a good sized fuel tank gives a decent cruising range of 422 miles. One area in which the Audi Q7 excels is safety, with driver, passenger and side airbags as standard, the Q7 achieved maximum crash test ratings for both side and frontal impacts. The plus side of being such a large vehicle is the huge trunk capacity (42.0 cu. ft.) and spacious accommodation for all passengers.
