The Cadillac SRX is a luxury utility vehicle. Cadillac has tried, as many other manufacturers have, to create an SUV that combines the driving dynamics of a luxury sedan with the all-weather capability and practicality of an SUV/Minivan. The Cadillac SRX is available in rear wheel or all wheel drive and offers seating for up to 7 passenger using optional fold down rear seats (although these are suitable only for children over very short trips). It is fitted with a 3.6 litre V6 with a power output of 255 HP transferred through a five speed automatic transmission with manual sport control. As befits a Cadillac vehicle the level of standard equipment is high - powered tailgate, alloy wheels, satellite radio, OnStar and leather seats are just a few examples. On the options list are Xenon headlights, heated seats and special wood trim and accents. An NHTSA Driver's Crash Rating of 4 is less than most of the opposition in the SUV marketplace.
