Chevrolet HHR

Review

The Chevrolet HHR (Heritage High Roof) LS is a funky retro looking vehicle in the style of the Chrysler PT. Its smooth ride and the boxy shape mean plenty of cargo and passenger space. The LS entry model has 2.2-liter, 155-horsepower engine. There are 4 trim levels available - LS, 1LT, 2LT and Special Edition. This 2009 Chevrolet HHR LS has also been marked down by many reviewers for lack of safety kit as standard. This LS model does not have anti lock brakes as standard, nor side curtain air bags nor traction control. This year Chevy had to recall over 180,000 HHR's which were not fitted with the optional roof rail mounted curtain air bags, as they were found to not meet Federal crash standards. The Chevrolet HHR is a large, flexible SUV that is easy to drive and park due to its compact size, and with plenty of interior space due to boxy design. If it were not for the sub standard safety kit this could have been a highly recommended vehicle.
