Chysler SUVs 2010
Chrysler has a long history of vehicle production, established in 1925 by Walter P. Chrysler. In 1998 Chrysler became part of the German Daimler/Chrysler group which in 2007 was sold to Cerberus Capital Management (although Chrysler themselves retained almost 20% of the stock). The Chrysler group is currently split into six divisions; Chrysler (Passenger cars, minivans and SUVs), Dodge (Passenger cars, minivans, trucks and SUVs), ENVI (high tech division for creating electric-drive vehicles and related advanced-propulsion technologies), Jeep (SUVs), GEMCAR (Global Electric Motorcars - Battery electric low-speed vehicles), Mopar (Replacement parts for Chrysler-built vehicles) and Chrysler Financial (Financial services for Chrysler customers and dealers). Although Chrysler is one of the leading automotive companies in the USA when it comes to research and development into energy efficient vehicle technologies, and has in fact announced an electric vehicle for 2010, the future of Chrysler currently hangs in the balance and they have announced the hiring of bankruptcy lawyers. Chryslers SUV range consists of the Town and Country (latest SUV model for 2009), the Aspen, the Pacifica and the PT cruiser - they also offer the Aspen in a hybrid version. The Aspen is also the only 8 seater in the Chrysler range, all others being conventional 5 seater's.
