Ford Taurus

Review

The Ford Taurus X SEL FWD (nee Freestyle), is a crossover from Ford. Despite taking a back seat to Ford's numerous Crossover/SUV models, the Taurus X is a true contender and with recent cosmetic alterations now avoids the bloated, bulbous look which blights many vehicles in its class. Practicality "no nonsense" would perhaps be the best way to sum up the Taurus X. As soon as you get into the vehicle you notice the wide and comfortable drivers seat, clean dash and thin windscreen pillars giving great all round visibility. The rear is similarly well thought out with low and completely flat floor and even a third row of seats. Unlike many in the class, the rearmost seats in the Ford Taurus X are suitable for adults. The Ford Taurus X SEL FWD feels somehow familiar to drive, it's just like a Ford Taurus sedan in fact! The all new 2009 model has a 3.5L V6, with 263 horsepower, mated to a smooth shifting six-speed automatic. The Ford does everything well and nothing badly.
