GMC Yukon 4WD Review

With gas price fluctuations, small cars are in and big SUVs are out. But what about those folks who have an extended family and whose hobbies include towing horse boxes, or a large boat - for these people large SUVs still make perfect sense. Massive pulling power and tons of room for passengers and cargo may be unfashionable, but still necessary. The 2009 GMC Yukon 4WD SLE-1 is a 4-door, 9-passenger SUV, equipped with a standard 5.3L, V8, 320HP, engine that achieves 16-mpg city/21-mpg /highway and can run on E85 (85% ethanol - which is handy if you have a still in the back yard!). A 4-speed automatic transmission with Overdrive and Tow/Haul Mode is standard fit on the Yukon 4WD SLE-1. Warranty offered gives coverage on powertrain of 5yrs/100,000 miles in addition to the standard new vehicle warranty of 3 yrs/36,000 miles. With a towing capacity of 7200 lbs, the GMC Yukon 4WD SLE-1 will move almost anything. Fitted with driver and passenger air bags the Yukon has the basic safety kit as standard, although we would like to see side-curtain air bags as standard fit on all SUVs.
