Honda Pilot Review

Honda's flagship SUV is completely redesigned for the 2009 model with a host of new features and upgrades. The 2009 Honda Pilot LX 2WD 5-Spd AT is a 4-door, 8-seater SUV. It is equipped with a standard 3.5L, V6, 250HP engine that returns 17mpg city/23-mpg highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard fit. This is the biggest SUV produced by Honda and at 5952 lbs it's no lightweight. However, compared to some of the American truck based SUVs it should be considered mid-size. The original Pilot was a huge success and redefined the mid-size SUV category by offering never before seen levels of comfort and ability. Now other manufacturers have caught up so Honda has gone on the offensive with a new improved model! There is more power, more equipment and more choices of trim for 2009. One of the Honda party tricks is a new cargo system, to avoid the problem many mid-size SUVs have with lack of cargo space when all seats are in use. Honda has an ingenious system with underfloor storage in rear cargo area - simply put you can carry a full complement of passengers and their luggage.
