Hyundai SUVs 2010

The forerunner of the Hyundai motor company, the Hyundai Auto Service started back in 1946 in Seoul, South Korea. The man behind Hyundai is Ju-Yung Chung who started the company at just 31 years of age. The Hyundai Motor Company as we know it today traces its origins back to 1967 when Ford granted them a contract to assemble the Cortina and Granada models for the South Korean market. Their first own vehicle produced was the Hyundai Pony (a sub compact) in 1976. Since then the Korean company has went from strength to strength. Today Hyundai has a North American market share of 5.6 percent. To put that into perspective, the BMW marketshare is around 2.2%! One of the reasons for this popularity in USA is the amazing warranty package offered by Hyundai - probably the best warranty of any manufacturer - 10 YEAR / 100,000 MILES powertrain + a 5 YEAR / 60,000 MILES limited new vehicle warranty. In addition there are federal and Californian emission warranties of 8 and 7 years respectively and a 5 year unlimited roadside assistance package! If low cost motoring is something you are interested and you don't want to be landed with big repair costs, then Hyundai could be the manufacturer for you. The Hyundai SUV line up consists of the Veracruz, the Santa Fe, the Tucson, the H1 and the Matrix. The H1 is the largest of their SUVs and is offered as a people carrier or a cargo van, while the diminutive Matrix is a sub compact sized vehicle with SUV pretensions.
