The 2009 Isuzu Ascender is a midsize SUV. It is quiet, comfortable and has good performance. Its drawbacks are low resale value and unimpressive fuel economy. The Isuzu Ascender comes with either a rear-wheel drive or an optional four-wheel drive. The 4-wheel-drive system possesses 4modes, which are automatic, 4-Low, 2-High and 4-High. It has a 4.2-liter six-cylinder engine with 285 horsepower and 4 speed automatic transmissions. Standard Safety features include Daytime running lights, electronic stability system and tire pressure monitoring system. Also two-row side curtain airbags and antilock brakes.
