Jeep Wrangler

Review

There are three models in the all new Wrangler line up - the entry level X, the "luxury" Sahara model, and the extreme off road version, the Rubicon. All Wrangler models are powered by the same 3.8L, 205HP V6 engine, using a six-speed manual transmission with a four-speed automatic transmission offered as an option. This new engine is streets ahead of the previous straight six 4.0L engine being quieter, smoother, more economical and more powerful. In terms of serious off road work, the new Wrangler has won many accolades: best in class for - water fording capability, ground clearance, approach, and departure angles and turning diameter. In addition, the latest Wrangler has shorter length and wheelbase and best traction of any Jeep model! However, the main difference is that the Wrangler is no longer painful to drive on the road! The noise, bouncy ride and poor road stability are all in the past. In fact, compared to the old model this latest Wrangler is a luxury SUV! All in all, a fantastic effort from Jeep. They have retained everything that was good about the old model while at the same time eliminating much of the bad. The new Wrangler is a comfortable everyday vehicle with more off road ability than you are ever likely to need.
