Kia Sorento

The Kia Sorento is a mid-size SUV that packs a big V6 engine. It's built like a truck, with a separate truck-style frame, but it maintains a civil attitude on the pavement. The Sorento is available in rear-wheel drive Base, LX and EX trims, or as a four-wheel drive LX or EX trim. The Base and LX trims come standard with a 242 hp 3.3-liter V6 engine while the EX models are powered by a 262 hp 3.8-liter V6 engine. A five-speed automatic transmission with sequential shifting mode is the only transmission offered. Safety features that come standard include side curtain and knee airbags, four-wheel disc antilock brakes, active front head restraints and an electronic stability system. The Kia Sorento receives a new V6 engine for its Base and LX trims for 2009.
