Lexus LX 570

Review

The 2009 Lexus LX 570 replaces the LX 470 as the largest SUV from Lexus. It shares the same basic design as the new Toyota Land Cruiser V8. A 383HP 5.7L V8 with 6-speed automatic transmission as standard and with a usefully large towing capacity over 8500 lb means the Lexus LX 570 is rarely found wanting in terms of power, even if towing when fully loaded with passengers and their luggage. All-wheel drive and low-range gearing are standard along with height adjustable suspension and self adjusting shocks. Extensive safety features are fitted as standard including ABS, traction and antiskid systems, curtain airbags, front and 2nd-row side airbags and driver and passenger knee airbags (for a total of 10 airbags!). Lexus SUVs have always been about luxury and utility - with an emphasis on luxury! As an example of the attention to detail in the LX 570, not only are the front seats roomy and supportive, the driver's seat adjusts 14 ways, and the passenger seat 12 ways, to ensure that everyone, no matter what shape or size, can get comfortable. To sum up, the Lexus LX 570 Sport utility is a big and luxurious vehicle, able to transport heavy trailers or boats, along with up to 8 people and a full complement of luggage across great distances in absolute comfort and safety.
