Mercedes-Benz SUVs 2010

Mercedes-Benz was formed by economic necessity by two manufacturers coming together in 1924. Benz and DMG (Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschat the manufacturer of Mercedes cars) signed an agreement of mutual interest and created the foundation for the modern phenomenon we now know today as Mercedes Benz. Mercedes-Benz has long been renowned as a technological innovator, with many of the innovations pioneered on its luxury cars becoming commonplace over time throughout the auto industry. Developments such as traction control, ABS, crumple zones, airbags, stability control and brake assist were all introduced by Mercedes Benz. The quality and longevity of Mercedes Benz vehicles is the stuff of legends. Unfortunately, during the 1990's there was a noticeable decline in build quality as noted in the results of the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study. Luckily Mercedes Benz seems to have things back on track with recent surveys showing a marked improvement with quality approaching the Mercedes of the past. Mercedes SUV range for 2008 includes the G, GL, M- and R-Class utility vehicles and a new SUV, the compact GLK. Notably the G-class is now in its 28th year of continuous production - one of the longest production runs for any vehicle!
