Anyone who believes that hybrids are slow needs to drive the Touareg hybrid. This SUV is way faster than I expected it to be, and it can tow a lot! Unfortunately, the fuel economy is not even close to being what you would expect from a hybrid SUV. Therefore, it sort of makes you wonder if paying extra for the hybrid is worth it. Handling is nice. Steering is definitely responsive; it feels more like a sedan than an SUV.
