It does not matter if you choose the RX, GX or LX; Lexus SUVs for 2013 bring something unique, creative and innovative to the table. As you would expect from any Lexus vehicle, these SUVs just echo of luxury. More than 50 years of experience from the Toyota line culminated the creation of Lexus sedans and coupes. They dominated against more established luxury cars, and now the name offers worthy competition in the world of sport utility vehicles.
The 2013 Lexus RX 350 is nothing short of stunning. A plush ride, premium cabin design and comfortable rear seating comes at a base price of $39,310. The list of standard equipment expands for 2013, adding on an iPod/USB audio interface and power lift gage. Also, a new F Sport package gives you a flawless eight-speed automatic transmission and sport-tuned suspension.
Lexus RX 350 is powered by a 270 horsepower 3.5-liter V6; all-wheel drive is optional. The five-passenger vehicle is available only in one trim, and comes nicely loaded with 18-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors, rear privacy glass, reclining and sliding rear seats, nine-speaker audio system and a whole lot more. Of course, as you would expect from Lexus, there are plenty of options and packages available to add on for customization as well.
Those looking for a more environmentally friendly option will appreciate the RX 450h. A 3.5-liter V6 is paired to battery-powered electric motors. Lexus delivers on its promises of both power and improved fuel economy in this hybrid SUV.
Next in the lineup is the 2013 Lexus GX 460 SUV. This is a vehicle that envelopes passengers in unparalleled comfort, yet still offers some surprisingly solid off-road capabilities. Starting at $53,445, GX competes in a very desirable segment, which includes the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, BMW X5 and Acura MDX.
Not only does GX have adaptive stabilizer bars, it has an adaptive suspension that offers three driver-selectable modes. Powered by a 301 horsepower 4.6-liter V8, this SUV is more than capable of handling your towing needs with capabilities of up to 6,500 pounds.
This seven-passenger vehicle is available in Base and Premium trims. As you would expect, Lexus loads GX Base up with more than what most buyer will ever need. Premium adds on upgraded leather, heated second row seating, a wood-trimmed steering wheel and a few other luxurious features that you won’t believe you ever lived without.
Last in the lineup of 2013 Lexus SUVs is the LX 570. With advanced off-road capabilities, a balanced ride and exceptional handling, it gives the well-established Land Rover Range Rover some stiff competition.
LX 570 seats up to eight people in three very roomy rows. Available in only one trim, it comes standard with 20-inch wheels, power lift gate, adaptive suspension, leather upholstery, soft-touch materials on the dash and doors, nine-speaker sound system, HD radio, touchscreen interface and a whole lot more.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Lexus without its remarkable packages, so a Luxury package is available, which gives you a mind-blowing 19-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, heated second row seats, parking cameras, cooled storage bin and a heated steering wheel for those cold winter mornings.
