2014 Jeep Cherokee Delayed!
Jeep’s impudent Cherokee 2014 is rescheduled to launch with a delay of one month than pre-planned because of ‘a wide range of issues’ as cited by Mark Chernoby, Chrysler’s VP. The 2014 Cherokee which was initially set to roll out in May is now been put forward to mid-June as some issues need to be revamped, Chernoby mentioned assuring they have adequate inventory till the fall.
The new Cherokee houses options for both front-wheel and all-drive versions and becomes the first mid-size crossover SUV to achieve Cherokee’s cutting-edge ZF nine-speed transmission which needs to be recalibrated pre-launch while refining tasks at assembly line for making the process more efficient is another essential motive for the delay. For European markets a Fiat sources 2.0L engine will be worn by the 2014 beast while Chinese version, Ziyou Guan will boast a smaller 1.4L turbocharged engine and the production will commence late in 2014. The sales in Europe are believed to kick off by September.
The last jeep product bearing the Cherokee plaque was adorable enough to survive a long ownership changes and culmination of similar competitors until its sad demise at the expanses of Diamler in 2001. Cherokee since its launch in 1984 had maintained an ardent reputation and superior boxy looks, known traditionally as XJ. Now, after a renowned run of first Cherokee in the name of Liberty, Jeep is set to bring back the name Cherokee to the US.
Chrysler’s 2.4L, 184 hp four cylindered “Tigershark” is standard variant on board and is available with engines in base sport. The Limited, Latitude and Trailhawk can be elevated to a 3.2 litre V-6 Pantesar with a power of 271 hp. Whilst all version are premade with a default front-wheel drive system, Cherokee offers a set of three distinct 4X4 driveline experience that negate its suburban looks, hiding enormous power under the hood. Jeep Active Drive I which is facilitated on Limited, Latitude and Sports models is fully automatic which provides a Power-Takeoff Unit (PTU) system which is meant to enhance both over and under-steer conditions and yield balanced torque distribution by braking systems. Jeep Active Drive II is also available on Limited, Latitude and Sports models and also offers a two-speed PTU.
SelecTerrain traction-control orientations with allowable configurations optimize driveline operations for prevalent conditions. Settings incorporate Snow, Sport, Sand/Mud, Auto or Rock modes for stability electronic breaking, hill descent and ascent and required safety.
Contrary to the traditional Liberty housing, which was horrible with both design and execution, Cherokee appears with contemporary details and materials. Heated and ventilated power-adjustable seats are available which come wrapped in leather or premium clothing. Soft touch items are replacements for Liberty’s low grade plastics while 60/40 split folding of rear seat serves comfort and loading ideals. Rendering a heated steering, with standard mounted controls, as well as wireless charging make rides more joyous and convenient.
The compact SUV crossover segment globally has been a heated sphere and Jeep’s entry was much apprehended. The Cherokee is believed to invite huge public interaction and dwindle the popularity of other competitors with its effective brand image and a much loved nameplate.

Amazing New Jeep Moab Concept Line!
Making its way through the SUV world is the amazing new concept that Jeep has just released. Mercedes might have shown what it is capable of by showing of its gorgeous 6 x 6 G63 AMG, but Jeep has done a fantastic job if it wanted to flaunt how awesome it plans to become in the recent future. With one of the most powerful engines that SUVs are seldom blessed with, the Jeep Wrangler Mopar Recon is all set to give the Mercedes G63 AMG a very strong competition!
We pretty much covered every important aspect about the Mercedes 6 x 6 G63 AMG off road SUV in one of our previous articles. We also stated that the G63 AMG might be the best SUV that might ever be produced. Here we are, stating that the Jeep Wrangler Mopar Recon might threaten the G63 AMG’s legacy quite vigorously. As far as off road experience is considered, the SUV boasts of truck sized 39 inch tyres which can possibly crush sedans with as much ease as we crush a mosquito with. And if you thought that is all that makes the Jeep so amazing, then wait till you check out the engine related specs of the insane beast!
Jeep certainly wished to be crazy this time while designing the Wrangler Mopar Recon’s engine. Note that when we say crazy, we mean really nastily crazy! What other adjective can be used to best describe the 6400cc HEMI V-8 crate engine which is supposed to power the huge sized tyres? Yes, it will be a 6400cc V8 engine, coupled with mammoth sized 39 inch tyres. You name the terrain, and the Jeep will cruise on it as if it is a lonesome highway. What’s more is that the massive engine is capable of deliver an exasperating power of over 470 horsepower, giving the machine the push that it would require for climbing any kind of terrain. If you are still saying “Come on man that could have been better”, then the fact that this engine is combined by a five-speed automatic transmission and a pair of Dana 60 front and rear axles might make you ponder for quite some time!
Wait till you set your eyes upon the vehicle. There can be no doubt in the fact that you won’t be able to take off your eyes from the relentless brutality that the beast would bestow upon you. With the massive wheels as well as rear and front off-road bumpers, the new Wrangler imparts its off-road image quite well. The stock vehicle doesn’t feature any windows, but you can enhance your vehicle with the rear and front window kit add-ons. You can also add LED lights to your headlamps. As far as the interiors are concerned, you will be sitting on beautiful seats made up of a very strong and comfortable material. You can also add a canvas top, if you wish to. We cannot possibly explain how badly we want this machine to go into production. Keeping our fingers crossed is all that we can do!

Brand- New Fiat 500X Crossover will Also Inspire New Compact Jeep SUV
Big news is on the horizon for the Fiat brand, as it recently announced an all-new, full-sized crossover variant of the Fiat 500X that’s set to hit the U.S. and Europe by early 2014. Teaser images (supposedly unexpected by the company) were released for a few short seconds when the vehicle was announced recently at the Fiat 500L’s media launch on the U.S.’ Independence Day (July 4th) in Turin, Italy. Fortunately for Fiat fans across the globe, the OmniAuto was able to capture the brief a single image on film.
The lone image shows a rather conventional hatchback design, yet with distinctly tall ride height and rugged-looking protective cladding for adventurous types. In Europe, the vehicle will replace the Fiat Sedici, but in the U.S. it will be a brand- new entry in the fast-growing crossover market, which will soon be comprised of the Ford EcoSport, the MINI Cooper Countryman, and the Buick Encore.
The new Fiat 500X will join several other, more seasoned veterans of the Fiat family, which is currently comprised of the Fiat 500C convertible, the standard Fiat 500 three-door hatchback, the sporty Fiat 500 Abarth, and the Fiat 500L MPV. Added to this list is the recently announced 500L minivan (mentioned above), which will begin production at the brand’s Kragujevac, Serbia plant for the North American market next year and Europe in September.
Production of the 500X will begin in December 2013 at the Miraflorini, Turin plant in Italy. The 500X is based on the Punto subcompact and will be longer than any other Fiat 500 model at 165.4 inches in length. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants are expected. The company is pumping billions of dollars for expansion costs into the Miraflorini plant to accommodate the additional 280-thousand vehicles it will produce of the new model each year. There’s also a battery-powered Fiat 500 Elettra model in the works, which is currently testing at several locations across the United States.
As far as power is concerned, the new 500X will likely feature two gasoline engines (TwinAir and 1.4-liter), as well as a turbodisel engine(1.3 MultiJet II) in Europe, while North America will receive a single 1.4-liter Multiair engine. However, this engine could produce more horsepower than the standard 101 hp and 98 lb.-ft. of torque that the current 500 achieves.
Reviewitonline.net also has received news that a new Jeep model will be built alongside of this stylish, rugged new crossover. The new model is code named the B-SUV 500X SUV and will be much smaller than the current Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot. Production of this vehicle is slated to begin in the second half of 2014, and it will be sold in several global markets, including Europe and the U.S. The Jeep model will differ from the Fiat in that it will come with additional premium features and will be trail-rated.
