3 Main Expectations About the Audi Q8 Sport Concept
Audi already unveiled the Q8 concept at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January 2017. For the time time, the luxury vehicle brand showcased the Audi Q8 Sport concept at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show.
Check out the 3 things we can expect from the Audi Q8 Sport concept based on a source:
1. Engine
The Audi Q8 Sport concept is highlighted by its high-performance feature. The vehicle may not carry with it the S or RS trim of its brand but its power unit is something to behold.
Beneath the hood of the auto lies a 3.0-liter V6 engine matched with an electronic supercharger. The hybrid unit produces 476 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. The configuration of the vehicle allows it to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in just 4.7 seconds.
2. Design
The Q8 is Audi’s new entry to the full-size luxury sport utility vehicle segment of the market. It is defined by prestige through the use of emotional styling found in the SUV coupes’ of the brand and its main competitors. However, the automaker made sure that its legroom is not compromised. The Q8 is 5.02 meters long and 3 meters in wheelbase.
To distinguish the Q8 Sport concept from its earlier standard version, Audi made some cosmetic changes into it. The one shown in Geneva features larger exhaust tips, blacked out accents in the body to replace the chrome trim, and black honeycomb grille similar to the RS line as an upgrade to the chrome crisscross styling found in the original Q8.
3. Arrival
Audi said that the Q8 concept reflects approximately 95 percent of the things that will be found in its production version. Slight finishing touches will only be incorporated in the final version of the product. Therefore, the Q8 is estimated to reach production stage by 2018. The Q8 Sport is expected to come shortly after its standard model hits the market.

Mercedes-AMG GT Concept Car Shown at the Geneva Motor Show
The Mercedes-AMG GT Concept car was finally unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. From the information, photos and video released by Daimler about the high-performance saloon, there is a lot to be excited about when the production version of the vehicle hits the market.
Check out the features of the Mercedes-AMG GT Concept based on the Global Media Site of Daimler AG:
Exterior
The Mercedes-AMG GT Concept is the four-door variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT sports car. Significant improvements can be seen in the styling of the concept vehicle compared to its two-door counterpart.
The AMG GT Concept copies many exterior elements found in the AMG GT. However, due to the four-door design of the concept car, it appears more muscular and spacious than its AMG GT sibling. The body lines on the sides are also removed to give way to a smoother body that allows the artistic reflection of light from the vehicle’s surroundings. Then the front grille of the auto adopts the Panamericana design found in the facelifted AMG GT.
Engine
The AMG GT Concept makes use of the new 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine of Mercedes. The combustion unit is paired with an electric motor to give it a performance boost. According to Daimler, the concept vehicle was able to produce up to 600 kW in its latest testing. The automaker aims to make the zero to 100 km/h acceleration of the car to be achieved in under three seconds.
The four-door AMG GT can be driven using solely its combustion engine. The driver can opt to use its electric motor alone too. To utilize the maximum performance of the car, its operating mode can be set to use both power units to fully take advantage of its hybrid drivetrain.

6 Quick Facts About the Jaguar I-Pace
The Jaguar I-Pace finally makes it to the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Although the electric vehicle is still in its concept form, the photos and information released about it were great so far.
Check out the 6 quick facts about the new Jaguar I-Pace here based on a source:
1. Debut
The I-Pace Concept first appeared at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show. It marks its arrival in Europe at the 87th Geneva Motor Show.
2. Power Unit
The electric sport utility vehicle is powered by two 200hp electric motors. The power units generate a total of 400 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. The output lets the auto accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just four seconds.
The EV is equipped with liquid-cooled 90 kWh battery with cells from LG Chem. The battery pack allows the SUV to cover a range of more or less 220 miles from a full charge.

3 Things To Expect From The 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC
The 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC has been spotted out and being tested. This car is based on the Generation EQ concept shown during the 2016 Paris Auto Show.
Although the test mule in the spy shots was using the body of a GLC Coupe, there were a lot of un-GLC Coupe like with it that ultimately, we deducted this was the 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC in hiding.
It Will Use The Modular Skateboard Platform
Mercedes already confirmed that the new EQ range will use the modular skateboard platform, which means the battery is going to be stored in the floor and an electric motor is mounted on one or two axles. This was proven by spy shots that showed a bare engine bay. Yes, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC isn’t simply a hybrid option. It’s a full-pledged electric SUV. That’s confirmed also by the electric symbol seen on the windshield.
It Will Follow The Generation EQ Concept
The said concept uses two electric motors that can produce an estimated 400 horsepower. This is paired with an all-wheel-drive system, allowing the car to go 0-to-60 mph in less than five seconds. It’s more likely that the EQC, which is purportedly Mercedes’ first model under this range, will offer a varying degree of power and range.
For now, all Mercedes wants us to know is that the battery can go up to 70 kilowatts-hours. It will have a range of 300 miles on a single charge. The battery is going to be a lithium-ion unit from Deutsche Automotive. The German firm already established a factory to build such batteries. They are extending it to accommodate Mercedes’ next-generation electric cars.
It Will Debut In 2018
We can expect to see the 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC by late 2018 or early 2019. After debuting this, Mercedes will start working to introduce nine more electric cars until 2025. There will be electric sedans and SUVs, and possibly even a sports car.
4 Facts About The 2018 Volkswagen Atlas
Finally, Volkswagen unveiled its 2018 Atlas, a three-row, seven-seater SUV that the German automaker hopes would play a major role in the SUV segment in the United States. This was first previewed in 2013 by the CrossBlue concept.
According to a report, the SUV made its world debut at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, and will be expected in showrooms in the spring of 2017. Built at the Volkswagen’s plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the Atlas will arrive as a 2018 model.
1. Based on MQB Platform
Similar to the Golf and other Volkswagen models, the Atlas is going to be made from the MQB platform, the largest version available to make a case to be the segment’s most value- and family-oriented SUV. It is expected to go against the Ford Explorer, the Toyota Highlander, the Chevrolet Traverse and the Honda Pilot.
2. Largest Vehicle of VW
With measurements of 198.3 inches in length, 77.9 in width and 69.6 in height, the Volkswagen Atlas is the biggest vehicle in the VW fleet. It has an airy cabin that was almost based on the CrossBlue concept. It features massive knobs, large touchscreen infotainment system, as well as wood trims on the console.
3. Two Powertrain Options
Once launched, the Atlas will have two powertrains. The base is the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 that can produce 238 horsepower. The second option is the 3.6-liter V-6 that can cough up 280 horsepower. Initially, Volkswagen wanted to release a diesel option, but the recent scandal hounding it proved too much for the company. Fuel-conscious buyers need not fret because there might be a hybrid option in the future.
A front-wheel drive will be paired with the inline-4 while the V-6 has an option of an all-wheel drive. The 8-speed automatic transmission will be standard. VW said that EPA ratings will be announced when its nearing market release.
4. A/V Tech is Topnotch
Tech items include Fender audio system with 12 speakers, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto smartphone integration. Safety features include forward collision warning, blind spot and lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking.
Top 3 Features Of The Kia Soul First Class Concept
The Kia Soul First Class concept, which was specifically designed for the 2016 SEMA show, is taking autonomous technology to the next level by pairing it up with luxurious features such as rear facing front seats, a massive rear view screen, in-floor leg rests, and an elegant and comfortable cabin you’ll want to rest in.
Here are the top 3 features of the concept car based on a source:
Exterior
Kia tapped the resources of LUX Motorwerks to give the Soul a unique vision of what’s in the future for SUVs and crossovers. The first step is to bathe the Soul in LUX Electric Blue finish from top to bottom. Then, they also put LED lights that give a mysterious blue glow on the upper and lower grille.
The concept’s Rotiform Monoblock CCV 19-inch wheels are also fitted in Continental all-season tires. The backgrounds of the Kia emblems on the exterior are also painted LUX Electric Blue while the “Kia” lettering remains black. The headlights are getting the same LUX Electric Blue treatment as accents.
Interior
This is called Soul First Class for a reason. The interior is so luxurious it can make you think you’re inside a Bentley or a Rolls-Royce. What modifications this concept lacked outside, it more than makes up for what you can find inside.
What LUX did was to strip off everything out of the cabin and start on a clean canvass. The rear seats now face the back of the car while a new console was installed between the two seats. Each of the passengers will have access to a tablet device that can control and monitor every aspect of the vehicle.
The seats are made with gray leather with diamond stitching while the floor has been equipped with a modern gray wood, giving off that feel of class and luxury. In the rear, you’ll be able to see an entertainment center installed to that floor that has a Mac Mini computer.
Drivetrain
There are no chassis or drivetrain upgrades, but it is expected to have a 1.6-liter, all-aluminum, four-banger that can produce 130 horsepower and 118 pound-feet of torque. Higher models can offer 164 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque from a 2.0-liter engine.
Reality Vs Concept: 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Alaskan Edition
Although the SEMA Auto show was mostly for outlandish concepts, the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Alaskan Edition Concept was actually based on a production truck the company will be introducing next year. Owners of the Silverado 2500HD can opt for the Alaskan Edition—a snow plow prep package.
The production version of the Alaskan Edition is rumored to be packing the following: front hook-ups for a snow plow, 18-inch wheels, Goodyear DuraTrac tires, roof market lights, spray-on bedliner, skid plates, 220-amp alternator, and heavy-duty front springs. The concept version also has these things with the addition of other components that make it stand out from the rest.
According to reports, the concept version will be boasting of a blue body color with silver accents and grizzly bear graphic, chrome finishing on the bumpers, grille and mirror caps, huge stainless steel snowplow, front suspension leveling kit, and 20-inch wheels. Snowplows do not come with the box, but customers can choose which snowplow to purchase based on budget and usage.
Before building the Alaskan Edition Concept, Chevy already started plans to make it. These actual plans are very close to what was sitting in front of everyone at SEMA. The only major change is the huge snowplow, which can be angled to either side or can be V-shaped to plow the snow forward.
In terms of interior, the production version of the Alaskan Edition can only be applied on the Work Truck and LT trim levels while the concept is based on the LTZ trim level, which has rubberized floor covering and standard-issue LTZ leather seats with the grizzly bear logo embroidered on them.
There are no changes in the concept’s drivetrain from the production version. After all, the production version already packs GM’s newest 6.6-liter Duramax V-8 turbodiesel that can produce 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque.
Four Things To Expect From The Maserati Alfieri
It was recently announced that the launch of the Maserati Alfieri will be pushed back to 2020. This is an unwelcome development for those who want to see the Italian brand’s new flagship, but it’s good news for those craving for a worthy successor of the Maserati GranTurismo because the company is reportedly delaying the Alfieri to create a new generation GranTurismo and GranCabrio.
But for now, here are four expectations we have about the Maserati Alfieri:
There is a New Lightweight Platform
Little is known about the Alfieri that will come out in 2020, but engineer Davide Danesin earlier announced that Maserati is developing a new platform that will allow the vehicle to be made out of lightweight material like aluminum. Both the Alfieri and the next-generation GranTurismo is expected to ride on a platform with a “more sporty architecture” than the Ghibli, Levante and Quattroporte.
It is Going to Come Close to the Ghibli
The platform that’s going to be used with the Alfieri won’t be all new. It will share bits and pieces, “some common basis,” with the Ghibli sedan. This move will likely reduce costs, as well as development time, reports suggest.
It Will Have a Rear-wheel Drive Layout
Originally, an all-wheel drive was being considered for the Alfieri, but Danesin clarified that this seems to be improbable. The next best thing is to create the Alfieri with an exclusive rear-wheel drive layout.
The Engine Will Likely Be a V6
Engine options for the Maserati Alfieri remains to be unconfirmed, although we are expecting it to be powered by a V6 engine that can produce 410, 450, and 520 horsepower, depending on the variant.
The Alfieri concept was first introduced at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show, where it wowed the audience. Its production version was supposed to be released as early as 2016, but this was pushed back to 2018 according to a report. Now, it seems fans have to wait until the end of the decade to see the concept come to life.
3 Awesome Stuff About the Mercedes-Benz Concept X-Class Pickup
October 25, 2016 marked the world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz Concept X-Class in Stockholm, Sweden. The concept Mercedes pickup truck is a preview of the X-Class production model due next year.
